I had morning sickness with my first child also but I do not remember being this debilitated. All I want to do is sit around or sleep. We just moved into a new house and I cannot even bring myself to unpack. I have a two year old that is wonderful but I am a terrible mother right now because I cannot even play with her. My husband expects me to go back to work this week, he has no idea what I feel like. I want to shove this baby up his butt and make him carry it. I am 12 weeks, constant nausea and vomiting. I hate being pregnant.

Hi ladies,
I am 9 wks and ever so sick. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I know it gets better but right now I feel like no one around understands how I feel. My husband takes my lack of interest in anything personal. My mother is lecturing me about allowing my 3 year old to watch too much TV. I feel like a horrible mother but just cant function right now. All this came to an end by week 13 for me with my other children....keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck everyone!!!

I am so glad that I am not alone. I am approx. 7 weeks and my MS started about 2 weeks ago. I thought I was going to be one of the fortunate ones that never suffered from MS, man was I kidding myself. The constant nauseous feeling has to be hands down the worst feeling ever. I can't even drink anymore, and I still wake up everyday feeling like I have a hangover. I can't function properly. I literally cry at night because I feel so completely useless. I told my boyfriend that I wish I could sleep all day because that is the only time I feel some sort of relief. I have tried everything that everyone has suggested, but nothing seems to work. Good luck ladies, we all need it to get through this.

I have been on zofran since week 8 but all it seems to be good for is not throwing up! only thing that seems to help some is to constantly be eating a small snack atleast every two hours, No spicy food, sour fruits or peanut butter!!
I am hoping this goes away very soon and i hope the same for all of you
PS finding out tomorrow what we are having and i am SOOOO EXCITED!
wonder if its a girl since i am so sick?!?!??

Oh it's so nice to feel like I'm not alone in this misery! I'm about 8 and a half weeks along and am extremely nauseous from the second I wake up in the morning until the second I fall asleep at night. There were certain things that helped at first (preggy pops, chewing gum, saltine crackers), but nothing seems to take the edge off anymore. I haven't thrown up at all, but am constantly dry-heaving and it's so painful and completely wipes me out. I'm pale and sickly looking and have no energy to do anything. The worst part is I have a three-year-old son to take care of, and I feel like such a bad mom for basically just living on the sofa while he watches movies all day. Just thinking about having to deal with this for another month makes me want to cry. How can I be happy and enjoy my pregnancy when I feel so awful all the time? I just can't wait until this is over...

what a brilliant website! I am not alone! In my 4th pregnancy and never felt so awful. Only in 8th week and just thinking about another month with this can make me insane! Can't even get excited about the new arrival when i feel so bad. Sick to my stomach and throwing up daily. The doctor gave me Pramin to take but that only made me dizzy. On to remedy number 3 billion now with a glass of ginger tea - not holding out much hope, though. Just want to feel normal again and enjoy being pregnant!

I just happened to stumble upon this website last night, and am amazed at how many stories are just like mine. I have felt so alone. I am 13 weeks pregnant and have been really sick since week 5. After the first week of having my all-day-morning-sickness, I ended up in the ER for IV fluids. My dr. gave me Zofran (8 mg) which worked for about 2 days. Even with the medication I have been soooo sick. All day long I feel awful, it's hard to eat and drink enough fluids because it hurts so much. I had a horrid experience with constipation from the Zofran and not drinking enough liquids. I am so tired of being in such awful pain and discomfort. But I am also feeling so guilty that I can't work, cook or do anything around the house. I am miserable and bored and feel so worthless. I am worried that I will be one of those people that I have heard about who never feels better and is sick their whole pregnancy. I know it means good things for the baby, and I am so grateful. I am so thrilled to be having my first child, and have been trying 18 months. But it makes me sad to think I will look back at this time of being pregnant as such an awful, negative experience. Best wishes to all of you out there going through this. I hope you feel better very soon!

Im 14 weeks today and have felt sick 24/7 since 6 weeks, its awful! Ive got 2 young children which is making it worse as all i want to do is lay down lol, orange lucozade is the only thing i can drink without wanting to throw up constantly, ive gone off all foods apart from things im craving. Hopefully ive only got at the most 2 weeks of this left before i feel ok again and i cant wait! This is our last baby, i dont think my body could do all this again to be honest lol im only 26 yet i feel double that! whats worse is ive been diagnosed with SPD so not only have i got constant nausea to contend with ive got chronic back pain 24/7 too and noone wants to prescribe anything im just getting physio for it. I keep telling myself the nausea is a really good sign that everything is ok but i really want it to go now, 8 weeks has been more than enough for me thankyou!!!

Hi everyone
I'm 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant and have had morning sickness since week 6. I'm thankful I don't have it as bad as some people - I'm lucky that as yet I haven't actully vomited (although there have been some close shaves) but I have to say I feel totally lousy. I feel sick 24 hours a day. I can't sleep through the night because I wake up with sickness. I actually have to sleep sitting up which is really uncomfortable. I am eating fairly normally which is a good thing but this terrible feeling just seems never ending at the moment! I can't really explain how I feel to other people which doesn't help and I don't want to sound like I'm moaning. It's really taking the joy out of pregnancy for me! I feel like I spend more time pre-occupied with drinking ginger tea and wondering what I can eat than thinking about the little baby growing inside me! My stomach is like a washing machine too. I just feel absolutley gross and I can't wait for this feeling to end. I can't belive I could have to endure weeks and weeks of this.

Tonight has been the worst thus far (currently at 9w, 5d), and I'm about ready to jump out of a window (not really...) but I'm truly at my wits end. I, so far, have refused the idea of taking anything prescription required, however, reading everyone's stories has made me rethink that! Absolutely nothing has worked for longer than a day (dill pickles, ginger anything, crackers, protein, etc...)... basically, what worked for me yesterday, flew out the window today, so back to the drawing board as far as what ot eat today (if anything).
The most draining part of it is having it all day... It just wears you down.. physically, mentally, emotionally -- this is the worst I've felt with my pregnancies and a bit relieved that this is my last baby. Oh, I am thrilled, don't get me wrong, I love this child with all my heart, and I know, without a shadow of a doubt that in the end, this "all day, nausea hell" will not matter and it'll be so worth the pain.. it's just the now of it all. I just wish there was one.. or two.. even three things that were a SURE fire fix it.. even for a few hours!! ANYTHING!!! I'm so ready to fill a bit normal..

I had morning sickness since i was 6 weeks pregnant, i remember posting it on this site... very comforting to know that there is more people who shares the same experience on MS, after i posted my experience back in november when no medication seemed to work i ended up being hospitalized for one month and a half without eating, thinking that the world was going to end for me, vomiting some times up to 15 times a day, it was horrible, to the point that i had to get a TPN which is an intravenous food replacement which feeds the baby and you @ the same time. went home and a nurse used to come every week to change the dressing and monitor me. Now im 34 weeks pregnant and im still sick but not as bad as before i cant eat, not much still sick but i keep food down 50/50. It is my first pregnancy as well but for all of you who are going through this HELL, im sure when we have our baby in our arms is going to be all worth it.I almost gave up n my baby because i felt sooooo miserable i didnt want it nemore, but here i am, if i made it this far you all can... God bless us ALL.

Ladies, I am 14 weeks and still suffer from MS. I truly did buy into what everyone kept telling me about feeling better once the 1st trimester came to an end. At 12 weeks I did have one good day where I thought it was all over and I was normal again, but that celebration was premature, I was back to feeling sick the very next day! I have just lost all hope about feeling better ever; but at least have now come to peace with the house in disarray, leaving my hubby to fend for himself, and now work mostly from home, I feel lucky I can do that with my job otherwise there's no way I could leave the house. Have tried everything natural. Tried Reglan but that stopped working after a few days, same with Unisom/B6 combo. Now even Zofran is not working. I think it's important to know that meds do not work for everyone and your body can develop a tolerance. Have decided to just stop taking Zofran now because it's not working and now I am suffering from constipation on top of it all. I promise to return and update on my status if/when this finally ends. Good luck all.

A website to vent about MS, GODSEND! I'm 8 weeks pregnant and have been sick since week 4... it sucks! I am an IVF patient and because it took so long to get pregnant, I never wanted to complain about anything pregnancy related -- however, MS has kicked my butt. Reading everyone elses story is making me feel less guilt about complaining about MS. May everyone's MS be brief!

What a fantastic blog site! After reading everybodys posts I don't feel so alone anymore!! I am horribly sick. 15 weeks tomorrow and I feel like I'm at the end of my teather. I have not put makeup on properly nor done any 'me' time stuff for 2 months. I haven't worked for 2 months either and I feel so frustrated!...Zofran has stopped working and now I am getting excrutiating indigestion which I\'m waiting on a script for Zantac to arrive....sometimes indigestion worse than nausea! My hubby is great but I can\'t even stand the smell of him!! I\'d never tell him that though! According to \'stats\' 15 weeks is supposed to ge the end of morning sickness. If not, I\'m afraid no more children for us!! Good luck x

Hi Gals. My empathy goes out to all of you. When I was pregnant with my son (who is now 21 months) I was nauseous 24/7. Plus migraines, it was horrible and I was so grateful to have an employer who was flexible and let me work from home often. It ended around 12 weeks. I became pregnant when my son was 15 months and was sick for a while and then the sickness ended around 9 weeks. I soon found that I lost the pregnancy. I am now pregnant again at 9 weeks and am sick as a dog and as miserable as I feel I pray it doesn't end. I have found that ginger tea gives me some relief. but there's only so much of that I can handle. I have found that if I give into my cravings I feel better (i.e. eating an entire pot of popcorn!) Keeping my tummy full seems to help as well. Although I feel as if I have to fill it up every other hour! Even though I've been horribly nauseous I am not a vomiter so I've actually gained 8 pounds already, but I really am not caring about that, I am just grateful to keep food in.
I hope you all find relief soon and take comfort in knowing that once you have your precious angel in your arms this miserable time will be forgotten. I was in such euphoria when my son was born I never even took a pain pill after the C-section ... Trust me you will forget :)

I am only six weeks and feel like I'm in hell! I hit five weeks and then came what I call the "wall of nausea". It is there 24 hours a day, the constant feeling that I am going to throw up. I actually have never thrown up before (I know that's a little weird at 28) and the same goes here, but even without the vomiting I have still lost several pounds in one week. It is an evil cycle, because if I get a few minutes relief from the nausea, my stomach feels clinched in a knot over the starvation, so I never feel good. I called my doc in tears week 6, begging for Zofran after reading about it online. It worked great the first two days. I think I messed up yesterday, because I didn't want to take it until absolutely necessary and I think I waited too long. I ended up taking two within three hours of each other, and that gave some relief. The Zofran helped a little today, but there is still always nausea. When I think that I could feel this way for 6-8 more weeks, or longer God forbid, I want to cry. It's like having the stomach flu but it NEVER goes away.I teach high school students and have only five weeks left of school until summer. All I can say is, it can't come fast enough!

hi all. This is my 4th preg. My m/s is so bad I want to die. I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.....i feel so hopeless. Hv bn in er for dehydration and got iv and zofran and that helped. But when filled the prescription, zofran does not seem to be wrking now. Am so depressed. Unable to fulfill my other mommy duties. I think the family is falling apart. My poor hubby wrks 24/7 and has had all this extra duties. I need some prayers. When will this end? Help.

This is my 4th pregnancy my first child the morning sickness was horrible it last for a month of not being able to keep anything down to the point that I actually lost 15 pounds, my second it was worst I felt sick 24 hours a day for 2 and 1/2 months without vomiting, and third well I felt great with that one and 3 month into the pregnancy I had a miscarriage I was devastated, 2 month after I found that I was expecting again I was terrified of another miscarriage I about 6 weeks now and the morning sickness is bad to the point that even the pills for the doctor to help it doesn't even work. I fell like cramp but I'm looking at it as a good sign, since the only pregnancy that I didn't have morning sickness ended as in a miscarriage so all of you who are suffering through this look at it as a good thing and remember it will be over in a few months and and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, I may fell like cramp right now but it felt worst to loss the baby, and I rather fell like this for a few months then go through that again.

Hi, I am 7 weeks now and I have had MS/ more like "all day sickness" since i was 5 weeks. I get nausea but the worst is the sharp pains in my stomach right under my breast bone. I am also those types of people that don't throw up easily so I am constantly feeling like throwing up but nothing happens.I thought there was something seriously wrong with me but now I see there are others with sicknesses other than nausea.

Hi all! It is so nice to know I am not alone! I am 12 weeks 6 days today and have had MS 5 weeks till now! By week 11 it got slightly better but I still get sick everyday! I can't eat nor drink and best of all, I can't stand being around my hubs! I can't stand seeing him, smelling him or even be near him! Luckily he understands but sometimes I feel he doesn't! Btw this is my first pregnancy and by the way things are going I might think twice for a second one! Everything I eat, drink, smell makes me sick... I lost a total of 7 kg in my first trimester. Best bit? Everytime I see people smoke, or drink even on tv or pictures I will gag and barf!! Wish all this will end soon!! I feel you guys!! Xoxoxo

Hi everyone! Today I am 10weeks an 5days. And I have had a very rocky pregnancy so far.. I was told I was pregnant then 20mins. later I was told I had a miscarrage.. 2weeks later I found that my baby was still in there jus growing away. But anywho, when I was at the end of my 6th week is when things started kicking in full term I had already started having morining sickness when I brushed my teeth. But then I started to get the all day an nite sickness.. It was HORIBLE! I couldn't keep anything down food. Liquids. U name it, even when I didn't eat I was still throwing up. That didn't start to ease up until in the middle of week9. I was so happy! Now I get morining sickness maybe 5times out of a 7day week. Which isn't so bad compared to wat I went through earlier on.. So now im jus hopen for smooth sailing throught the rest of the pregnancy!!

Hey ladies! I'm 9 weeks and was suffering REAL BAD with ms (vomiting all the time) until my Dr. prescribed Diclectin AKA miracle drug. At first it made me a bit drowsy, but now after a week or so the drowsiness has gone away. I find if you take it with food lessens the drowsiness. It is amazing how I feel. I'm able to eat and function like a normal human being. Good luck!

I am almost 9 weeks along and have been misrable sense the actual signs of pregnancy have kicked in. Although I have not physically vomited a lot like some of the gals on here, I have been SUPER nauesous. Around weeks 5-8, I found it impossible to find an appetite to eat. So I actually lost around 7 pounds so far. I have been getting alot better with pushing myself to eat something I'm still not getting anywhere near the amount of food I need. As many women say that keeping your body cool because heat increases nausea, I found that I've been making pretty good friends with a heating pad pressed up against my lower back. But for the past week I have been starting to throw up every morning and night. Like this morning I woke up and knew I was off to a bad nausious day. So I ran to the bathroom gagging and leaned over the sink. Sense I had absolutly nothing in my stomach to come up, this pure thick yellow liquid was coming out. Not alot but the taste of it was horrific. So I will probably put some dry cereal in a baggy next to my bed tonight to see if it will help out for tomorrow. All I have to say is goodluck ladies and , isn't it nice to know were not alone
